-> basic principles

Key Features

  • usage of proven standard database means, procedures and methods in the area of GIS

  • the ability to publish all data (descriptive, geographic – vector, raster) stored in relational database in mutual relationship

  • data can be presented from the moment of their entry to database (data need not be in any way prepared for the presentation)

  • three-layer architecture enables to distribute load on the system

  • all parametrization of the system is based on standard SQL commands, system enables to define and present results of any SQL query

  • security of data based on standard properties of relational databases (database access rights, roles, passwords)

  • reduction of volume of transferred data and their encoding. The client does not get „hot“ data, but its compressed image in encoded binary format, there is no data storage on client‘s side

  • automatic recording of system activities – users‘ accesses including statistics

  • no installation on the client‘s side is needed, just intuitive control of the browser

  • publication of documents related with geographic data (photo, video, texts, e.t.c.)

  • support for fast display of large raster data (hundreds of GB)

  • supports standard OGC WMS as both client and server

  • supports standard OGC VFS f. SQL

  • can be integrated with other information systems direct call of the browser by third parties‘ applications (e.g. SAP/R3)
